Rib Cook-Off: Best in the West
The Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-Off takes place from Saturday, August 30 to Monday, September 1, 2025, in Sparks, NV. It’s one of the nation’s largest barbecue competitions with 250,000 pounds of ribs, free admission, live music, and dozens of food vendors.
Victorian Avenue shuts down to make way for thousands of hungry rib-lovers, as pitmasters from across the U.S. (and beyond) serve up ribs, sides, and vegetarian options. This year’s free concert lineup includes Ying Yang Twins, Tim Montana, Sister Hazel, and more!
